A variable week. When the wind blew with the sun out the fishing was very hard, especially
from the bank. On calmer or dull days the buzzer hatch really switched the fish on.
Mark Footitt and boat partner Julian Barker set up their gear in the morning and didn't need to change flies all day - size 10 black buzzer on the point, size 12 on the middle and a size 14 on top dropper. They managed 42 fish to the boat!

There is still only limited surface activity but a few fish were taken on dries over the Easter weekend.

Pond Olive hatch should start soon.

Competition news
The troutmasters fish off was fished in a 25-30mph West wind and competitors struggled for
most of the day, most fish being caught in the first hour when conditions were more reasonable.
