Trout have moved on or near the surface all week providing great top of the water sport for boat & bank anglers as 213 rods caught 916 trout returning 440 for a rod average 4.3

Good buzzer hatches have kept the trout up with any overcast conditions ensuring the trout moved well within casting range of the bank anglers with the wood bank, lonesome pine & farm bank providing the best of the bank sport. Boats have taken trout from all over the reservoir with the area in front of the dam fishing best in the evening.

A floating line with either a washing line set up or buzzers, emergers, damsel & dries caught the majority of the trout but with the excellent clarity of the water & the daphnia to be seen an orange fritz or blob has also worked.

Bank anglers should ensure they bring waders with them & boat anglers should call the lodge to book their boat to avoid any disappointment.
