125 anglers caught 597 fish rod average 4.8

A Very windy week!! Moderate to strong south westerlys all week have made life difficult but the fishing has been good despite of that. Luckily -plenty of fish upwind and the tower and boat ramp areas have fished very well. One chap braved the elements and fished bang into the teeth of the wind and was well rewarded in quick time with a dozen fish, he was fishing a fast sinking line and 3 buzzers and the fish were taking about 2 rod lengths out.

Best method has been floating line and damsel nymphs, diawl bachs and buzzers. Phenomenal evening buzzer hatches even on the cool and windy days.

Trev Ward from Dinington was top rod again this week and in 2 sessions totalled 43 fish, including a rainbow of 7Ib 12oz which took a buzzer and was released.
