Thornton Reservoir fishing report week ending 29/03/09
The weather took its toll on us last week with strong north winds keeping the boats off the water on one of the days. A total of 111 rods caught a 189 trout returning 85 for a rod average of 1.8 with the bank anglers once again enjoying the best of the sport.
With the water temperature at 8.5 degrees we are seeing a few more buzzers on the water, with an improving weather forecast for this week we should start to see buzzer patterns feature more & more in the catches.
Dave Leavesley fished various buzzers for his 9 fish, while Tat Thomson caught 11 for his morning session on orange blobs. J. Gunby caught 7 on buzzers.
