Another week when bank anglers enjoyed the best of the sport with 211 rods catching 555 trout returning 249 for a rod average 2.6
Mid morning onwards is the best time to fish with the trout tight on the bank especially when the breeze is on the water. Floating lines with buzzers, Montana, damsel & small tadpoles have worked best with the shallows along the Thornton arm opposite the lodge, wood bank, lonesome pine & farm bank been the best areas to try.
During the week Adrian Vaughan caught 10 fish for his visit including the best of the season so far a superb overwintered rainbow 8lb12oz
Other notable catches, John Gunby 10 fish black buzzer, Keith Coley fished the bank for his 12 fish as did Dave Leavesley taking his 12 from the bank on a gold headed daddy.
We are enjoying an excellent March fishing with a good forecast & another stocking due our good sport is sure to continue.
