Another good weeks fishing with 183 rods catching 621 trout returning 378 trout for a weekly rod average 3.4 Watching the weather forecast was the key to a good days fishing, when we enjoyed light winds & warmer air temperatures the fishing especially from the bank was excellent, however on the windier colder days it wasn't as easy.
Once again the shallows of the Thornton Arm & wood bank was popular & fished the best with floating or intermediate lines with small gold headed Montana, white & green tadpole, damsel & buzzers worked best with the mid morning onwards fishing best.
Norman Perkins fished the bank from 11am onwards & caught 10 trout Rob Naylor also fished from the bank with a dawsons olive & cruncher to record 14 trout, Scot Wilson fished the bank & caught 17 trout returning later in the week to fish with buzzers to catch a further 16. Waders or wellie`s are a must if your coming to fish the bank.
