Another hard weeks fishing has been had at foremark with a rod average of 2 the fish have been hard to catch.
With the fresh fish going in at the start of the week i thought it would have turned the lake on, but with the warm weather the fish have been proving hard to catch with a lot of fish still holding out in open water.
Bank fishing is still hard work with only a few fish moving in on the fry, a couple of weeks of cooler weather will hopefully bring the fish in. The areas to fish off the bank have been of the two Jetties, Bush Bay, Heron Point and the Cascade, a variety of flies have taken fish off the bank from Damsels to Minkies just keeping on the move has been the key to success.
Boat anglers have had a mixed week with a lot of anglers struggling and a few catching. Scott Wilson had a great day this week landing 21 fish up to 3lb, Scott found the fish over on the East bank around 3 and 4 buoy. Fishing with an intermediate line a black boobie on the point a daddy on the dropper Scott couldn't go wrong with pulls all the time and casting at rising fish all day long.
Colin Varley had a good day taking 8 fish from a boat again over on the ticknall bank from Bush Bay to Heron Point. Colin fished a slow sink with a small Damsel on the point and a Cormorant on the dropper.
Fish have been moving but the open water is still holding a lot of fish so don't be put off by drifting across the middle still.
Top areas for the boats have been Buoys 3,4,5,6,9 and 10, Cascade and around the tower with a few fish around the lodge on the fry. Hopefully now the weather will cool down then the water will and the fish will be moving into the bays for a good fry bash.
