102 anglers caught 327 fish rod average 3.2

A settled and quiet week weather wise with calm conditions prevailing. Most days have been foggy to start with very little breeze and bright sun showing when fog clears. Cooler nights have meant slower starts with the fishing better a little later on.

Been lots of fish showing on top taking tiny beetles and similar terrestrials and therefore tricky to tempt. Boats still more consistent than the bank but with a cooler and more unsettled period forecast for the coming week, that could all change?

A good variety of patterns working with cat's whiskers, appetisers, diawl bachs, damsels, boobies, floating fry and daddies all good.

A stocking of 3-5Ib fish last week has meant the 3Ib+ book has seen some action! Mark Cownley had the best catch of last week with 2 rainbows at 5Ib+ caught & released. Nice brownies on the fry around the tower. Some good perch out and Merv caught a 3Ib+ eel - it took a diawl bach about a foot from the surface!
