Thornton fishing report week ending 17/08/08
Sport started to pick up towards the end of the week as the water temperature dropped to a little above 18 degrees, & with yet another unsettled weeks weather forecast our water temperature will continue to drop & our fishing will improve.
With the water temperature dropping anglers have started taking fish on floating lines with suspender buzzers & dries, Steve Warner fished two evening sessions with hoppers & shipmans to boat 10 trout, Gordon Porter fished a variety of dries & emergers to boat his 7 trout for his mornings visit, Mr A. Wilson also fished a morning session with claret bumble to take his 5.
With the cooler conditions boat anglers have taken trout on the drift from the dam to the wood with anglers fishing on the anchor favoring green bay & the large orange buoy area.
