The morning session 8.30am – 3.00pm from a boat has been the most productive time to fish as the warm weather pushes up the water temperature & sends the trout to the cooler deeper water in front of the dam, green bay & orange buoys.

During the past week 145 rods caught 274 trout returning 103 for a rod average 1.9 Anglers using along leader under an indicator with buzzers & bloodworm patterns or an intermediate with a gold headed orange fritz, blob or buzzer or as you would expect a fast sinking line with booby have caught trout with the majority coming to a static or very slow retrieve.

As ever some people found the method & the fish, Mrs Christine Bagshaw caught 8 including fish of 4lb8oz & 5lb8oz on a Wet Cell 2 with buzzers & nymphs, Scott Wilson used a minkie booby, damsel & hares ear to catch 7 while Lol Worrall fished buzzers under an indicator & caught 8 before returning later in the week & used the same method to catch 14. Norma Prime used long leaders with bloodworm & buzzers for her 7.
