The fishing at Foremark this week has been pretty amazing, with the rod average rising to 5.8 on somedays, bags of over 20 fish have been recorded.

With the top bag of the week being 35 fish taken by Michael Gately, Michael caught his fish on a variety of different methods, he took the majority of his fish from off the boils and long drifts from 2 buoy down to 1 buoy.

Floating lines have certainly been the line to use early on in the week with all different flies working, daddies, hoppers, and small wet flies being the favorites.

Towards the back end of the week intermediate lines and slow sinking lines have been used because of this bright sun we have been having over the past few days. Although the fish have gone down, the fishing has slowed up a little, but still bags of 6-10 fish are still showing.

Mark Davies proved fish could still be caught by going out and having 5 fish in less than 2 hours off the Boils,  Mark used a range of different coloured blobs and boobies to tempt the Trout.

The best fish of the week was a 6lb 9oz Rainbow taken by local angler Pete Dawson. Pete described the fish as the best fight of his life, he also added that it took him over 15 minutes to land the fish. The fish was absaloutly immaculate with not a mark on it.

Best boat areas are around the cages, along the damm wall, boils and out in the middle of the res fishing have been showing.

Tight Lines and see you soon Phil Dixon
