Weekly results week ending - 11th July
94 anglers caught 466 fish rod average 4.96 A changeable week once again with very varied weather - frequent wind direction changes, heavy showers, bright sun and stormy conditions. Bank sport has been ok fishing the deeper bank areas, from the north west corner around to the black pipe. The shallower and therefore more weedy area along the boat ramp bank is holding alot of fish, fishing along the bank on the inside of the weedbed is best. Damsel nymphs and large caddis imitations are good, teamed with sedge pupae patterns or buzzers. Try a small cat's whisker as a last resort! Boats fishing best during the day with a variety of patterns including some small lure and booby patterns fished deep. Fantastic evening sport late on, post 9pm most nights, on dry sedge patterns, foamy Shipman's and hoppers. Best rainbow this week taken by Malcolm Janik from Spilsby, he took 14 fish on Thursday evening on small hare's ear nymphs including two rainbows at 6Ib's !
TOFT PHONE - landline and broadband down at the moment - yes, I have paid the bill. I'm currently moving from Talk Talk to BT and it was to be a seemless transition. However, Talk Talk pulled the plug early which has left me with no service. All being well cameras and phone will be back online within a week or so. Please contact me on my mobile in the meantime, thank you !
