  Fishing Report week ending 06/07/08

First week in July & the weather has been kind to us for the time of year with the cooler weather helping to keep the surface water temperature under 19degrees. During the past week 187 rods caught 522 trout returning 237 for a rod average 2.8

When the sun did manage to break through the fish moved into the deeper water where anglers fishing on the back drift with fast sinking lines short leaders & booby caught best.

However for most of the week a good breeze & cloud prevailed & under those conditions a floating line or intermediate line caught best. Clive Holt fished an afternoon session with buzzers & bobs bits catching 12,Mick Dewsnap fished damsels & caught 7 for his morning session, J. Whitfield fished a damsel & F Fly to catch 8, While John Everett 14 & Norma Prime caught 13 for their session on CDC, sedges, damsel & diawl bach. John Collins fished an afternoon session & caught 10 on a damsel while Norman Williams fished a damsel & olive buzzer to catch 8, while Terry Ord fished a static sedge & caught 12.

The most productive area all week has been along the dam, orange buoy & green bay area. With another stocking this week & a favorable forecast if your fishing sport should continue.
