Ranger's review:
Grassholme continues to fish well as the unseasonable weather keeps the fish on the feed.
Warm days and gentle mild breezes mean the fish can still be taken from the surface, with
floating lines and small flies still the order of the day.
On the bait side Powerbait Eggs are still doing the damage with the trusty worm and Greedy
Bait fished via the float coming a good second and third.
Best fish of the week honours were shared by a Mr N. Thompson and Mr B. Wilson both of
whom recorded rainbows of 4lb 12oz.  The quality of and number of fish in Grassholme remains high
so anglers can look forward to an end of season bonanza at Teesdale's premier venue.
Best flies:   Dawson's Olive, Bibio, Black Hoppers, Sedge Fly, Orange or Black Fritz,
Best baits:   Powerbait Eggs, Greedy Bait, worm.
Best areas:   Witches Hat, Grey Pipe and above, Dam wall, South side in front of Lodge
and East End.

Ranger's Weekly Fishing Review
Fishery: Hury
Date: 19/10/2007

Number of anglers:         7
Number of anglers to date:       392
Best catch           9lb
Biggest roach to date         1lb 12oz
Best catch to date         48lb 8oz
Ranger's review:
The roach at Hury are continuing to provide some good sport for coarse anglers. The warm
weather combined with light winds means that anglers have the whole lake to choose from.
Regular,  Mr P. Upton has struck again with the week's best net weighing in at 9lb, caught
using the pole and fishing with maggots.
For optimum results lightly feed with each cast to keep the fish concentrated in your swim.
Hemp lightly laced with honey will offer an attractive ground bait for this purpose.
