Hi from Woodford Lodge
A really good week here with some excellent fishing. Although we've had rather unsettled days with wind and rain, generally the fishing has been very good with plenty of moving fish. As always in August the bank fishing is harder and the very high water levels haven't helped, but there has been good evening rises and those prepared to stay later have enjoyed some good surface fishing from all the lakes. Our own teams comp and evening league produced great competitions and with a fine forecast for the next week the good sport will continue. Plenty of boats available at present on both Chew and Blagdon, but September is now beginning to get very busy, especially on weekends. Now is a good time to try for afternoon and evening boats.
