Bewl Water Fishery Report Week Ending 5 July 2007

A very good week's fishing at Bewl as can be seen by the improved rod
average of 3.28. The majority of the fish being caught are the superb
home grown rainbows recently stocked from the cages and weighing 3-4lb.

The fish are on or near the surface and are taking Boobies, fry
patterns and Cormorants.

Boat anglers have had most success in the Main Bowl area and Hook
Straight. Ferry Point and Chingley have been the best places for bank
fishing.

The SEFFF Loch style final was won by Bewl senior ranger, Rob Barden
with 8 fish for 28lb 9oz inc. time bonus, Sean Brooks was 2nd with 8
fish for 23lb 14oz inc. time bonus and Mick Dwyer 3rd with 7 fish for
19lb 10oz. Mick Priest, Joel Beeney, Jeff Latter and Clive Collier
also qualified for the National Final at Grafham in September, with
Steve Collins and Peter Thomason as reserves.

Results of the monthly draw for June are as follows - !st Colin
Mayne, 2nd G. Beech and 3rd George Keywood.
