The first photo shows members of Rutland Water Fly Fishers (pictured in front of the club's new notice board at the fishing lodge, Normanton). There was a fantastic turnout for the club's annual litter pick at Rutland Water last Sunday. The litter pick gives a tremendous 'spring clean' to the banks and every year raises funds for charity. The event is sponsored by Anglian Water Services and this year's proceeds are directed to the Rutland Memorial Hospital in Oakham where many club members have been the recipients of superb nursing care. The annual litter pick always heralds the final countdown to opening day at Rutland Water. The Independence Day Trophy will be awarded to the angler catching the best fish on Opening Day.

This year we plan to stock 20,000 fish at Rutland Water. The second photo shows Alan Dalton, one of the wardens at Rutland, putting in some of this year's stock earlier this week.
