Grafham Water has fished well this week. GWFFA members Brian Calvert and Harley Smith had a busy time boat fishing. The pair released 18 fish between them all between 3.5lb and 5.5lb. Brian, of Buckden, and Harley, from Stevenage, used Minkies fished deep on Di7’s around the inlets at I Buoy.
It’s been another good week for the bank anglers braving the cold along the North Shore. The cooler weather has encouraged the fish to turn on to the fry that have started to move in the margins mainly along the North Shore as well as the Harbour. The best line of attack for these fish is either a floater or very slow sinker with a Minkie on the point and a couple of Nymphs on the droppers such as Crunchers and Diawl Bach’s with the occasional fish seen feeding heavily on corixa in the sheltered bays.
