Richard Burnham from Corby landed the biggest rainbow trout of the week at 12lb 12oz.  Richard fished the bank in Bog Bay with an intermediate line and a green pea lure to land this superb fish.  M Dawson from Oadby, Leicester, had a great day’s fishing at Pitsford this week, catching his limit of 6 fish for a total weight of 16lb 8oz.  He took two rainbows over 3lb and returned six fish.

Bank fishing is superb at the moment with plenty of limits taken.  Bog Bay, Stone Barn and Duffers are the hot spots.  Floating or slow intermediate lines are best with black and green lures on the warmer days.  Teams of buzzers have taken some top quality fish.

Boat anglers are also enjoying some good sport in Bog Bay and Stone Barn, fishing close to the bank with black lures on floating or intermediate lines.
