Conditions at Ravensthorpe are rapidly improving with increased water visibility. Boat anglers are enjoying superb sport.
Fur & Feather 5 November
On Sunday 31 anglers contested the Anglian Water Fur and Feather. They enjoyed some superb action in this competition taking 186 fish for a 6.0 rod average. The most successful method proved to be glass or intermediate lines with a variety of Black/Green Lures, Humungous, Blobs and Minkies fished slowly from anchored boats. Following the 4pm weigh in anglers enjoyed a pint and delicious stew and dumplings. Hampers were won by the top five boat pairs
1st M Haycock & G Pearson 8lb 8oz
2nd D Haines & M Griffin 8lb 5oz
3rd P Sweeney & N Crowhurst 7lb 2oz
4th G Bramwell & K Cooke 7lb 1oz
5th B Street & M Barratt 6lb 1oz
Dick Haynes took the best fish at 5lb 11oz.
Rob Edmunds took the best bag with 6 fish for 16lb 2oz.
