Rutland Water - anglers are charity champions
Rutland Water - anglers are charity champions
During the year anglers taking part in major competitions at Rutland Water kindly donate their catch for sale in support of charity. On Friday 1 December the proceeds from this year’s catches were presented by Rutland Water wardens on behalf of all the anglers to the County Air Ambulance and WaterAid.

Barbara Parish, accepting £500 on behalf of the County Air Ambulance, said “We are very grateful for this donation. The Air Ambulance is invaluable in an emergency, particularly in rural areas like Rutland. It can transport a patient swiftly to the most appropriate hospital according to their needs.”

Anglian Water Director David Cooke accepting £500 on behalf of the charity WaterAid said “WaterAid supports first time water and sanitation projects in developing countries, making a huge difference to everyday lives.”
