England Ladies Charity Day, Bewl Water, 6th October 2007.
England Ladies Charity Day, Bewl Water, 6th October 2007.

England Ladies are organising a Charity Pairs Competition at Bewl Water, Kent, on Saturday 6th October (2 weeks Sat) on behalf of Prostrate Cancer research.

This a problem close to men’s hearts, or in some cases a long way from our hearts. Anyway it's a damn good cause.

Organisers Mary Hopper and Sue Hunter are at the moment very much undersubscribed having got excellent sponsorship and some good coverage and prizes .

You guys know how embarrassing it would be for the ladies to set it all up and then get let down their sponsors and efforts by us blokes. Last year was excellent for the small field that attended raising £820.  I hope this year we could at least do the same and hopefully do better.

If you are interested, or know anybody who is, please help out and support them. Competition Team captains can you please have a word with your boys. Bewl is
now fishing really well.

The competition is fished to fishery rules from a drifting boat as a pair (team of two) fishing together.

Don't worry if you are on your own, the girls will fix (stitch) you up!!

Can you make it?

Please contact:

Mary Hopper:  01227 456576

Sue Hunter:  01753 545548
