ACA PIKE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Welcome to the ACA British Pike Championship pages. 2007 Pike Final confirmed for 10th Novemeber at Whittlesey AA water

It is an exciting time for the British Pike Championships and we are pleased to announce important changes to this year's competition. Fox International will support the Pike Final as the championships' principal sponsor. Fox will be offering great prizes to include hundreds of pounds worth of tackle vouchers for the overall and section winners, along with predator tackle and clothing. They have arranged for Fox consultants and angling celebrities Mick Brown and Dave Kelbrick to present the prizes at this year’s final. There will also be much larger cash payouts for the winners than in previous years.

The venue for the event, Whittlesey Angling Association Water will, for the first time in the history of the competition, be double pegged to ensure that catch rates and the overall competitiveness of the final will be improved.

Key Facts:

  • The British Pike Championships has been up and running for over 30 years
  • The competition generates around £20,000 each year for the ACA fighting fund.
  • Qualifier matches are run by volunteer match organisers and are normally held during the British pike season (historically September through until March)
  • The top 10% by weight from each qualifier match qualify to fish in the final.
  • 2007 Pike Final will take place at Whittlesey AA Water, Cambridgeshire on Saturday 10th November. Spectators are welcome on the day.
  • Running qualifier matches is an ideal way to increase day ticket sales for your club, with the added advantage of raising funds for the ACA. Spaces are available to run qualifier matches for 2007/8 season.

Attention all Match Organisers and Competitors – we need your photos!

Please send high quality photos of all good catches and matches to the ACA using the details supplied below so that we can get them printed in Angling Times and uploaded to our web site. Digital photos should be as high resolution as possible to ensure they get printed in the Angling Times. The sooner we receive them, the more likely it is that they will be printed in the paper.
