Scotlands Ali Middlemass wont forget this trip to Rutland in a hurry, after netting Rutlands biggest brown trout for over 4 years.
Ali was fishing off the mouth of South Arms Hideaway Bay when the big fish seized his buzzer pattern. Screams of " Ive hooked into Moby Dick" were heard by local angler Rob Waddington, as he fished nearby.
The fish was weighed on the boat and tipped the scales over 13lb.(the true weight is yet to be confirmed).
Rutland is now fishing very well on buzzers. This coming week sees the home Intermational, as England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland battle it out for the Gold medal. See the results here on UK Flyfisher as they happen.
