North East angler wins top prize Keen fly fisherman David Ayre has landed the catch of a lifetime. The 42-year-old call centre worker from Stockton-on-Tees has scooped the Daily Express first prize of a £34,000 Peugeot Orian Gemini motorhome in a competition run by the daily newspaper.
“I’m over the moon,” said David. “I’ll probably use the motorhome to tour Scotland and the North East with three or four of my friends. We normally stay in a hotel, but now we can venture to more remote places where there are no facilities.”
