Fresh run Seatrout are now being caught near Edinburgh airport on the River Almond on the Cramond Angling club water. This is very high up the system, so it is safe to assume that Seatrout are now spread out throughout the lower reaches of beats 1 & 2.
If the weather holds and the evenings turn a little warmer, this will open up the opportunity of night time fly fishing.
For more information of location and permits on this very affordable Salmon and Seatrout river, just 10 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh, visit the club's website on www.fishalmond.co.uk
