The Environment Agency are today sending out the 07/08 rod licences to customers who opted to pay by direct debit.

This delay was caused by a 'glitch' with the printing of the new licences, and not one associated with the direct debit system. 

Licences are being sent out at the moment and it is expected that most people will have received their licences by Wednesday or Thursday this week.

In the meantime, you can still go fishing provided you take sufficient ID with you.  It is recommended that you take the Direct Debit confirmation letter, your rod licence reference number and a form of ID (driving licence or equivalent)
