Reports of small Finnock, juvenile seatrout, in the river Almond came in today from the Cramond Angling Association. The Finnock were rising to a hatch of olives in the lower river . This suggests that some larger seatrout would have entered the river and with the current height, these fish will run hard.

Water clarity is good and appears to be holding at about 3" above summer level. Spate rivers demand that you are in the right spot at the right time, so subscribe to "ukflyfisher" , now, for up to date information, and be right on it.
