Airflo Classic 2007
Airflo Classic 2007

The name Airflo Classic returns to the UK Bank Competition scene after an absence of a number of years. Airflo have increased their sponsorship of the CEFF-Airflo Bank Open and have committed to 3 years support allowing the organisers, the CEFF, to progress with their plans to expand the competition. This year there is a heat in Northern Ireland and heats are being actively chased in Wales and Scotland. The first heat is an Individual Heat for the North East held at Lockwood Beck on March 31st, details are available from the local organiser or from the fishery.

For 2007 there are separate Individual and Team Competitions cumulating in the Individual final being held at Elinor Fishery on Saturday 13th October and the Team final on Sunday 14th October at the same venue. The qualification path has been streamlined into a number of Regional heats with direct entry to the finals for the winners/top 3 and, depending on the entry, the runners up/next 3 from each heat. There are 75 Individual Final places and 25 teams.

Prizes are available at each stage including Airflo Rods at the Finals. Entry fees for 2007 have been held at the 2006 rates, namely £15 for the first Individual entry and £10 for subsequent entries. The Team entry is £45 then £30. All entrants who pay the Initial fee will receive a free Airflo Ridge line as part of the entry pack.

The heats being organised are detailed below. For details and entry forms please email the relevant regional organiser or email/write to the Competition Organiser

MyFlyBox will help you to express yourself, catch up with friends and make new ones, but please do remember that what you post publicly can be read by anyone viewing your profile, so please follow the guidelines below when using MyFlyBox:-

  • Don't forget that your profile, like all the others, is on public display.
  • Don't post anything you don’t want seen (e.g., phone numbers, address, IM address, or your location).
  • Don't post anything that could embarrass you later.
  • Don’t post anything that makes it easy for strangers to find you (e.g.  location of home, cafes, clubs etc)
  • People aren't always who they say they are.
  • Be careful about adding people you don’t actually know to your friends list.
  • It's great to make new MyFlyBox friends from all over, but avoid actually meeting people whom you do not already know.
  • If you decide to meet someone you’ve engaged with on MyFlyBox, tell your parents or relatives first, meet in a public place and bring a trusted adult friend with you.
  • It's easy to think that only people you know are looking at your MyFlyBox page, but remember that everyone can see it.
  • Think very carefully before you post a photo or information you wouldn't want others to see.
  • Harassment, inappropriate speech and inappropriate content must be reported. If you feel someone's behaviour is not appropriate, do something. Talk with a trusted adult, or report it to MyFlyBox or to the relevant authorities.
