Although the season started earlier on the 1st February, on the River Almond Nr. Edinburgh, April is fast approaching and it is now a good time to see the first seatrout of the new season, enter the system.
The river at present is running about 4 inches above summer level, clarity is improving and with rain forecast and a spate expected by midweek, rods should take to the river as there could be a good chance of a seatrout this week as the river drops and clears.
