DOUBLE FIGURED FISH LANDED ON PITSFORD OPENING DAY !
DOUBLE FIGURED FISH LANDED ON PITSFORD OPENING DAY !

Anglian Waters Pitsford reservoir opened the new season in style with a double figured fish caught from the bank.

Rutland regular Dave Docherty had his bag limit from Bog Bay. Dave was fishing from the bank, using a floating line with a black and green tadpole. He caught his last few fish using black buzzers.

Local angler Richard Slater also started the season off well!  A previous winner of The Lexus Internatinal individual championships, he got off to a winning start by landing a cracking bag of 6 fish on a Pitsford Green Pea Gold Head Lure.

Those who ventured out on the boats struggled in comparison to the bank anglers, as the fish hugged the shore lines.

Rutland regular Barry Thomson, who is recovering from a recent stroke, and Graham Pearson also took their limits from the bank.

The best fly patterns were the Pitsford Pea, black and green tadpoles and black buzzers.
