ELINOR PRODUCES AN EXCELLENT OPENING WEEKEND
ELINOR PRODUCES AN EXCELLENT OPENING WEEKEND

Opening Weekend  Feb 24 & 25

165 anglers caught 1192 fish of which 713 were returned

147 fish over 4lb

Rainbow
12lb 0oz  Tony Pointer, Corby, Viva, Gravel Bar
11lb 8oz  Graham Dutton, Desborough, Hot Head Damsel, Dam
11lb 1oz  Jock Cuff, Peterborough, Cruncher, West Arm

A record turnout at Elinor for the opening weekend. The mild weather and high water level saw anglers catching from every area on the lake rather than the usual scrum for a position on the Dam.
Bank anglers certainly had the best of the action with the biggest bags coming from  shallow water between 2 - 4ft.
As well as the new stockfish there were good numbers of overwintered fish up to 7lb reported. Although a little lean these fish had huge rudders and scrapped accordingly!

Best Methods: Floater or slow intermediate with assorted blobs fished in top 24"
Bung with buzzer at 12" and bloodworm at 24"

Best Patterns: montana, cats whisker, black/green fritz, white/green fritz, orange blob, damsel, bloodworm, black buzzer.

Best Areas:
Bank - All banks producing fish
Boat - Dam, West arm, Brookside bay, Gravel bar

Next stocking: Feb 27 & March 2
