Hardy & Greys Prodigy makes UK Semi-Final
Hardy & Greys Ltd, Commercial Marketing Assistant, Scott Nellins has qualified for the England Home International Loch Style Final. As a member of the highly successful English competition team, The Ospreys, Scott, who is twenty and from Ashington in Northumberland has been fly fishing for eight years and has taken part and achieved in many fishing competitions. In 2003 Scott competed in the England Youth Home International, has won three England Youth World International Caps and a Bronze Team medal in the USA in 2007. Scott has also taken part in and won the England Youth National River Championships in 2005 and 2006, as well as national team competitions winning team silver in Ireland in 2004 and team gold in Wales in 2005. The England Home International Loch Style Qualifier, in which Scott came fifth catching four Rainbow Trout weighing 9lb 2oz on a Hardy Demon Outfit, was held at Stocks Reservoir in Yorkshire representing the North East and Yorkshire County’s. Hardy & Greys Ltd would like to wish Scott the very best of luck in the England Loch Style National Final on 27th September at Bewl Reservoir, Kent where he will battle against 100 fellow anglers.
Scott said; “I am very pleased to reach my second Senior National Final. Hopefully this time I will be more successful in gaining my first senior England cap to go with the England youth world team achievements I hold from previous years.”
